The divine call of God was evident in his life that from his teenage age people fondly called him small pastor. At age 8 he started preaching and praying for people around him. He got baptized at basilica of the most holy trinity in Onitsha and was given the name John Collins. Living in Onitsha it was ascertained that God’s divine hand was leading and directing everything about his life. At 18 he has his first miracle crusade in ilo offianta Nsugbe, Anambra state in the year 2013. during the crusade Many saw the appearance of a mysterious smoke all over the crusade ground as the evidence of the presence of the almighty God in their midst. A crippled was healed and many were delivered from the shackles of darkness.
His ministry started out small, one bedroom apartment given to him by the beloved Nwasike Family who supported him with all they had. The apartment only housed one speaker and rented microphones with five to eight people in attendance. In that small space he began to help people by praying for the sick, taking care of the elderly and giving to those in need. Following Gods divine instruction he moved to Abuja in 2014 without money, he had to beg for food to eat and money to transport himself. Life was getting really difficult and rough. He was housed by a woman referred to as IRON LADY. He slept on a mat and had only a piece of cloth to shield himself from cold, sleeping next to the toilet. The room was flooded whenever it rained, it wasn’t comfortable but he knew God had a great plan. In that small dark room he continued his ministry, praying, healing people and performing different miracles without collecting anything from them. It was during a crusade in Abuja on a Wednesday afternoon 3:00pm that the ministry was first named BETHEL TABERNACLE CHURCH OF ALL NATIONS. (BTCOAN). God again took him from Abuja to Lagos where he lived with his elder sister as he continued his ministry.
Just then God almighty called seeking him at the Prayer Mountain. All he had was 2500 naira given to him by his elder sister which he knew it wasn’t enough but still decided to travel on December 20th, 2014 with some others. The mountain was fondly called DEBORAH HIGH MOUNTAIN OF MERCY. He prayed and stayed on the mountain for 14 Days seeking the face of God from December 21st- January 4th 2015.
One early morning while praying, he had a dream, he saw two men dressed in robes without revealing their faces. He was handed two sword, one on the left and the other on the right. Suddenly his forehead was opened by one of the men and a small cross was placed inside, then they disappeared and he woke up. Out of fear he prayed and touched his forehead, immediately he could feel the heat from the surface.
During his last days on the mountain, he broke his fast with Garri and salt on the first of January 2015. He left the mountain tired, rough and weak. His sister gave him some money to clean up and look more decent that, became the beginning of a new turn around.
Also, in January he received a call from someone abroad named Jennifer, a lady he once performed miracle on, and due to her experience, his name, news and ministry went all over the United Kingdom. Different people requested to see him and ask for prayers, which led to him putting up different crusades both in London and in Lagos.
On a faithful Wednesday morning God told him to prepare and go back to his people in Anambra state, without hesitation he obeyed and packed his bags. His parents were shocked and afraid of his decision leaving the UK. On the 24 of October 2015 he arrived at Nsugbe and continued the ministry.
Going through many obstacles, the ministry was closed and opened several times. The church building collapsed on three different occasion but to the glory of God, the ministry pulled through. Prophet Ikenna made it a tradition not to collect seed sowing or tithes offering before prayers in his church and since then the ministry has witnessed great number of miracles since its reopening.
The church later went on a year break waiting for God’s direction and instruction concerning the movement of the church. God finally led them to a new ground and gave the church a new name called CITY OF SALVATION INTERNATIONAL MINISTRY (COSIM) also known as Bethel Tabernacle.
